SARA KIENER (SHE/HER)
Sara championed over 100 independent films between Film Presence, a boutique marketing firm she founded in her mid-twenties, and Cinereach, a New York-based foundation and production company. She was behind the outreach and inventive distribution strategies for Oscar winner I Am Not Your Negro, Sundance award-winner Matangi/Maya/M.I.A., and many, many others.
In 2020, Sara directed The Shawl — an animated short film about radical queer joy and Stevie Nicks (goddess bless) — which premiered at Sundance and won the Special Jury Award at SXSW. She's currently developing it into an animated series with Mark Duplass.
She is also a Certified Full Spectrum Doula, a Postpartum Support International Peer Mentor, and an MA candidate in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at LMU with a perinatal specialization.
She brings all of it to her design practice.
